What is Wash?
Wash: Blog Manager connects a WordPress site to a Shopify store. You write and manage posts in WordPress, and Wash publishes them to your Shopify blog.

The problem we solve
Shopify is a good e-commerce platform, but its built-in blog editor is thin. Formatting is limited, with no advanced typography and few block types. There is no revision history, so you can't see what changed or roll back. Images get basic handling and no optimization. Teams have a hard time working on the same post, and SEO is limited to a few meta fields.
WordPress runs over 40% of all websites, and writing is what it was built for. You get the Gutenberg block editor, thousands of plugins for SEO, analytics and collaboration, full revision history, a media library with optimization and galleries, and multiple authors with their own roles and permissions.
Three use cases
1. Content migration
If you're moving your blog from WordPress to Shopify, Wash transfers the whole archive. Smart redirections send old URLs to the new ones so you keep your rankings, WordPress authors map to Shopify metafields, and images are uploaded and optimized on the way.
2. Ongoing content management
If you want to keep writing in WordPress, Wash keeps Shopify in step. Drafts stay in WordPress until you publish them. When you publish or edit a post, the change appears on your Shopify blog straight away.
3. Bringing Shopify content into WordPress
Already have articles or pages in Shopify? Import from Shopify (Pro and above) pulls them into WordPress with their images, tags and translations. From then on you edit them in WordPress, and saving updates the same Shopify article.

- Install the Shopify app on your Shopify store.
- Install the WordPress plugin on your WordPress site.
- Connect the two with a one-time connect code from the Shopify app.
- Map your blogs: choose which WordPress categories and languages go to which Shopify blogs (Pro and above; on Free, posts go to your first blog).
- Publish posts in WordPress. Wash sends them to Shopify.
Who should use Wash: Blog Manager?
Wash suits e-commerce stores that run an active blog, content teams that want a proper editor, SEO people who depend on WordPress plugins, agencies looking after several client stores, and businesses moving from WordPress to Shopify.
You probably don't need it if you publish a short post now and then and Shopify's own editor does the job.
